Frequently asked questions about zik.dot

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium for payroll disbursements?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Why might leaving zik.dot open invite cybersquatting?

An open zik.dot is an invitation for cybersquatters to register your zik.dot name hoping to profit from or misuse NicNames's reputation. Because .PAY implies payments, such squatting is especially damaging. Pre-register zik.dot to remove the temptation. https://domain.pay/register

When should a crypto or DeFi product pre-order a .PAY domain for crypto payments?

Current ICANN dates: .PAY Sunrise is April 13–July 20, 2026; LRP1 is July 20, 2026–February 1, 2027; Trademark Claims is February 1–May 2, 2027. For registration or pre-order action, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

How do I submit my SMD file when registering zik.dot?

During the trademark-priority flow for zik.dot, NicNames presents an upload field where you attach the .smd file exported from the Trademark Clearinghouse. The system parses the encoded mark and confirms the zik.dot label matches your validated trademark. Once accepted, your priority claim on zik.dot is queued. Upload it at https://domain.pay/register.

Does .PAY automatically improve SEO rankings for crypto payments?

.PAY is a branding and relevance signal, not an automatic SEO ranking boost. Use it when it improves payment-page clarity and user trust, then follow normal SEO practices. Start by securing or pre-ordering the domain at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
