Frequently asked questions about zho.dot

Is .PAY already open to everyone for online checkout?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

How does first-day pre-order improve my odds for zho.dot?

A first-day pre-order queues your attempt for zho.dot the moment it becomes available, improving your chances against later applicants. If a contested attempt fails, the pre-order is refundable per policy. domain.pay offers this for zho.dot; details at https://domain.pay/pricing.

For digital wallets, could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

How much is the standard pre-order fee for zho.dot?

Our standard pre-order for zho.dot is listed at $100, which applies to non-premium .PAY labels. The registry may instead classify zho.dot as premium and assign a higher fee. See the current figure for zho.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

For mobile money, can .PAY be used for a branded checkout URL?

merchant.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
