Frequently asked questions about workgroup.dot

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for online checkout?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

How do I know if workgroup.dot is still in the trademark-priority phase?

Availability and phase status for workgroup.dot are shown when you look it up through NicNames. If workgroup.dot is still in the priority phase, SMD-backed claims are accepted; once it passes, the name moves to pre-order and then general registration. Check the live status at https://domain.pay/domains.

What is a .PAY domain and why does it matter for online checkout?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For online checkout, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts. Re-check the name before publishing campaigns because registry status can change.

Can workgroup.dot be released from reserved during launch?

Some reserved labels are released as part of a launch phase, but only if Amazon Registry Services chooses to open workgroup.dot — there's no guarantee for workgroup.dot. Monitoring is the right move since registry status can change. Track workgroup.dot's status at https://domain.pay/domains.

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later when choosing subscriptions.pay?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
