Frequently asked questions about whitecaps.dot

When should a payroll platform pre-order a .PAY domain for a payroll platform?

Current ICANN dates: .PAY Sunrise is April 13–July 20, 2026; LRP1 is July 20, 2026–February 1, 2027; Trademark Claims is February 1–May 2, 2027. For registration or pre-order action, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Is whitecaps.dot reserved for large enterprises?

whitecaps.dot is not reserved exclusively for large enterprises; small businesses, startups, and individuals with payment-related use may also qualify. The .PAY registry generally validates use rather than company size. domain.pay can register whitecaps.dot regardless of your scale at https://domain.pay/register.

What does 'approved Payment Service Provider' mean for .PAY eligibility for a brand-protection manager?

During LRP1, .PAY eligibility is limited to registrants that conduct payment transactions online using an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor, with payment-related use. For registration help, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Separate financial licensing depends on your activity and jurisdiction.

How do I set up a wildcard certificate for *.whitecaps.dot?

Request a wildcard certificate covering *.whitecaps.dot, which most CAs issue via DNS validation by checking a TXT record on whitecaps.dot. A wildcard then secures every subdomain of whitecaps.dot with one cert. Remember the wildcard for whitecaps.dot does not cover the bare apex, so include it explicitly.

Where can I see already-registered .PAY domains for online checkout?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
