Frequently asked questions about westies.dot

What does the .PAY ending signal to customers using BNPL checkout for a remittance app?

.PAY signals that the destination is connected to payment action, such as BNPL checkout. That can support clarity and trust when paired with strong security and branding. Check or pre-order the name at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/.

Why might leaving westies.dot open invite cybersquatting?

An open westies.dot is an invitation for cybersquatters to register your westies.dot name hoping to profit from or misuse NicNames's reputation. Because .PAY implies payments, such squatting is especially damaging. Pre-register westies.dot to remove the temptation. https://domain.pay/register

Are IDN .PAY domains allowed for digital wallets?

IDN .PAY names may be possible only in supported scripts and must meet registry rules. Use domain.pay to check the exact label and punycode-style status before planning a launch: https://domain.pay/register. Availability, premium and policy restrictions still apply.

Can holding westies.dot prevent fake invoices using the westies.dot name?

Owning westies.dot means fraudsters cannot send invoices or payment links from the genuine westies.dot address, removing a powerful trust signal they would otherwise abuse. It does not stop every scam, but it closes the most convincing one. Secure westies.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Is .PAY already open to everyone for online checkout?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
