Frequently asked questions about wau.dot

Can a donation platform use .PAY for a branded payment page for a donation platform?

Yes. A donation platform can use .PAY for a branded payment page if the name is available and registry rules are met. Search the label and choose trademark fast-track or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/.

Why secure wau.dot early through pre-order?

Pre-ordering wau.dot lets you stake a claim to the matching payment address before general availability, and standard pre-order is listed at $100. If an attempt fails, it's refundable per policy, so reserving early is low-risk. See terms and pricing at https://domain.pay/pricing.

As a mobile wallet team, how do I choose between trademark fast-track and pre-order?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

Does registering wau.dot guarantee I get it?

A first-day pre-order improves your timing but does not guarantee wau.dot, because trademark priority and demand can intervene. If the attempt fails, domain.pay refunds it per policy, so you are not out of pocket. See the terms on /pricing.

What .PAY name should an event ticketing business consider for mobile money?

travel.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
