Frequently asked questions about wastop.dot

Can I browse alternative .PAY names if my first choice is taken when choosing settle.pay?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

How long does TMCH validation take before I can register wastop.dot?

TMCH validation timing depends on the Clearinghouse, not on NicNames, so begin the process well before you intend to claim wastop.dot. Only after validation completes do you receive the SMD file needed for priority on wastop.dot. Plan ahead so your SMD is ready when the priority phase opens. Prepare your registration at https://domain.pay/register.

What date matters most if I want a .PAY name without a trademark for a mobile wallet team?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

Why does wastop.dot load on HTTP but not HTTPS?

If wastop.dot serves over HTTP but fails on HTTPS, the SSL certificate is likely missing, expired, or not bound to port 443 on your server. Install or renew a cert covering wastop.dot, ensure 443 is open, then redirect HTTP to HTTPS. Test wastop.dot again after reloading the web server.

Are short .PAY names always available for payroll disbursements?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
