Frequently asked questions about vpntest.dot

Where do I enter the .PAY label I want to check for crypto payments?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

What problem does vpntest.dot solve for online sellers?

vpntest.dot gives online sellers a dedicated, easy-to-share address for collecting money instead of a buried checkout page. It reduces friction by making the payment URL obvious and brandable as vpntest.dot. Sellers can pre-order vpntest.dot at /register.

Is .PAY already open to everyone for a checkout product manager?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

How long does TMCH validation take before I can register vpntest.dot?

TMCH validation timing depends on the Clearinghouse, not on NicNames, so begin the process well before you intend to claim vpntest.dot. Only after validation completes do you receive the SMD file needed for priority on vpntest.dot. Plan ahead so your SMD is ready when the priority phase opens. Prepare your registration at https://domain.pay/register.

For BNPL checkout, can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
