Frequently asked questions about vert.dot

Could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

How do I avoid trademark issues when replacing vert.dot?

To avoid trademark issues when replacing vert.dot, pick a vert.dot variant that doesn't clash with an existing mark, since holders may claim TMCH SMD priority under Amazon Registry Services. Check before you pre-order. Learn more at https://domain.pay/register.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Why isn't vert.dot resolving even though I added the records?

If vert.dot won't resolve, first confirm the nameservers at your registrar match where the zone is actually hosted, then check for typos in the A or CNAME values. Cached TTLs or a missing apex record are common culprits. Verify with a DNS query tool, and review your settings under /domains.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium for BNPL checkout?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
