Frequently asked questions about understood.dot

Why is .PAY important for phishing prevention for cross-border payments?

.PAY is sensitive because it signals money movement, so lookalike domains can confuse customers. Check your exact brand and obvious variants at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is one brand-protection layer, not a full anti-phishing program.

Are there name-collision rules that affect SMD claims on understood.dot?

The .PAY registry, run by Amazon Registry Services, applies its own policies that can affect how SMD claims and reservations interact for names like understood.dot. Your valid SMD makes you eligible for priority on understood.dot, while the registry resolves any conflicts. NicNames applies those rules for you. See context at https://domain.pay/.

What is the quickest path to secure a .PAY domain for an event ticketing business when choosing support.pay?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

What makes understood.dot eligible for first-day pre-order?

understood.dot is eligible for first-day pre-order when understood.dot is not reserved and is slated to enter general availability, letting your request be ready for opening day. The domain.pay flow confirms first-day eligibility for understood.dot. Set it up at https://domain.pay/register.

How should I check premium status before choosing a .PAY name for an insurance billing portal?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
