Frequently asked questions about undefined.dot

Is .PAY useful for an invoice-payment portal for a regional bank?

Yes. .PAY can fit invoice-payment portals because it tells customers the link is about paying. Search options such as brand-specific or invoice-related labels on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Confirm availability and premium status before adding the URL to invoices.

Does the TMCH charge me anything to enable an SMD for undefined.dot?

The Trademark Clearinghouse sets its own fees for recording and validating your mark, independent of NicNames's registration pricing for undefined.dot. NicNames's standard pre-order for undefined.dot is listed at $100, separate from any TMCH costs. Plan for both when pursuing priority on undefined.dot. See registrar pricing at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What is the quickest path to secure a .PAY domain for a crypto or DeFi product?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

Will switching from a .com to undefined.dot cost me SEO traffic?

A move to undefined.dot only risks traffic if it's done without proper 301 redirects from every old URL to its match on undefined.dot. With correct redirects, a canonical update, and a Search Console change-of-address, rankings transfer over time. Plan the migration to undefined.dot carefully and monitor results.

What .PAY domain style is best for trust and conversion when choosing merchant.pay?

merchant.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
