Frequently asked questions about turtleneck.dot

Does .PAY have anti-abuse rules for tax payments?

Amazon Registry policies include abuse-prevention rules for .PAY, and registrants remain subject to applicable domain dispute and abuse procedures. For legitimate registration or pre-order, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Pair the domain with monitoring, SSL and clear customer messaging.

Can I run turtleneck.dot entirely on a static host like GitHub Pages?

Yes. Point turtleneck.dot at the static host using their required A/CNAME records, add turtleneck.dot as the custom domain in the host's settings, and enable their automatic HTTPS. Static hosting is fast and cheap for turtleneck.dot when you don't need server-side code.

As an ecommerce brand, is .PAY already open to everyone?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

Can domain.pay notify me about turtleneck.dot's launch phases?

Yes. When you place a pre-order for turtleneck.dot, domain.pay tracks the launch phases and submits your request at the right moment, so you do not have to monitor the schedule yourself. Start tracking turtleneck.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for a bank or credit union?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
