Frequently asked questions about turf.dot

How does the first-day .PAY pre-order attempt work for a travel booking brand?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

When should trademark holders submit turf.dot?

Trademark holders should submit turf.dot during the sunrise phase, within the registry's published window, to claim it before general availability opens. domain.pay handles the turf.dot submission so you do not miss it. Prepare at https://domain.pay/register.

What should I do first if I want a .PAY domain for BNPL checkout for a regional bank?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

Should I redirect turf.dot with a 301 or 302?

Use a 301 when the move is permanent so search engines transfer ranking signals to the destination of turf.dot; use a 302 only for temporary forwarding. For a brand domain like turf.dot pointing at your main site indefinitely, 301 is almost always correct. Avoid chaining multiple redirects.

Is there VIP help for a large .PAY pre-order portfolio for an event ticketing business?

domain.pay says customers with pre-orders over $8,888 may qualify for VIP handling, dedicated support and more tailored failed-registration solutions. Review the current VIP language on the pricing page: https://domain.pay/pricing. Large portfolios should still expect availability and premium checks.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
