Frequently asked questions about transit.dot

When does the .PAY Trademark Claims period run for mobile money?

ICANN currently lists the .PAY Trademark Claims period from February 1, 2027 to May 2, 2027. For practical registration action, check your preferred label and pre-order path on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Does transit.dot require special hosting?

No. transit.dot works with ordinary web hosting, redirects, or a landing-page service, just like any domain. You point its DNS wherever you want transit.dot to resolve. The .PAY suffix imposes no special hosting requirement.

Is there a cash refund option for a failed .PAY pre-order for online checkout?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

What sub-topics should a brand-protection plan for transit.dot cover?

A solid plan covers registering transit.dot, TMCH recording of the transit.dot mark, monitoring, customer messaging, renewal discipline, and a dispute playbook. Owning transit.dot is the anchor that makes the other steps effective for NicNames. https://domain.pay/

Would travel.pay work as a payment brand when choosing travel.pay?

travel.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
