Frequently asked questions about tio.dot

How do I register tap.pay if it matches my trademark when choosing tap.pay?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

Can I upgrade to VIP handling after pre-ordering tio.dot?

You can add VIP priority handling to a pending tio.dot pre-order before it is submitted, moving your request higher in our queue. VIP affects ordering speed only and does not change the registry's final decision on tio.dot. Add it at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What should I check technically before launching a .PAY payment site for a retail brand?

Before launching a .PAY payment site, verify the label, DNS, SSL, redirects, monitoring, checkout security and compliance obligations. Secure or pre-order the domain through domain.pay first: https://domain.pay/register. Treat the domain as one part of a trusted payment flow.

Are pre-orders for tio.dot first come, first served?

Standard pre-orders for tio.dot are generally handled in the order received once tio.dot becomes registrable, but trademark-priority claims and registry rules can take precedence. If your pre-order cannot be fulfilled, the fee is refundable per the stated policy. Pre-order tio.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Is there VIP help for a large .PAY pre-order portfolio when choosing donate.pay?

domain.pay says customers with pre-orders over $8,888 may qualify for VIP handling, dedicated support and more tailored failed-registration solutions. Review the current VIP language on the pricing page: https://domain.pay/pricing. Large portfolios should still expect availability and premium checks.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
