Frequently asked questions about testament.dot

When is broader .PAY public registration expected for digital wallets?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

How do I set up a www and non-www version of testament.dot?

Create a CNAME (or matching A record) for www.testament.dot alongside the apex, then pick one canonical version and 301-redirect the other. Consistency tells search engines which form of testament.dot to index and avoids duplicate-content dilution. Decide canonical before launch.

How can a marketplace use a .PAY domain for a remittance app?

A marketplace can use .PAY for seller payouts, buyer checkout, escrow, billing or payment support flows. Generate and verify names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Choose a label that customers will recognize as official and safe.

Is there a risk someone else registers testament.dot before me?

Yes, .PAY names are first-come during general availability, so another party could secure testament.dot if you wait. A first-day pre-order through domain.pay queues your attempt for the opening moment. Lock in your attempt for testament.dot at /register.

For BNPL checkout, how do I choose between trademark fast-track and pre-order?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
