Frequently asked questions about teleport.dot

Can a trademark owner register a matching .PAY domain now for crypto payments?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

How do I set up HTTPS and an SSL certificate on teleport.dot?

Point teleport.dot at your server via DNS first, then issue a certificate from a CA such as Let's Encrypt or your hosting provider's automated tool. Most platforms validate ownership of teleport.dot over HTTP or DNS and renew automatically. Once installed, force all traffic to HTTPS with a redirect.

Can I use my own SMD file and pay less for a .PAY submission for a donation platform?

If you already have a valid TMCH-issued SMD file, domain.pay lists the submission-handling path at $100 plus any applicable premium retail fee. Check the current pricing and requirements here: https://domain.pay/pricing. The SMD must match the requested .PAY label.

What if I do not have a trademark for teleport.dot but still want teleport.dot?

Without a trademark you simply skip the priority window and place a first-day pre-order for teleport.dot during general availability. Many registrants take this path. domain.pay queues your teleport.dot pre-order at /register.

Is there VIP help for a large .PAY pre-order portfolio for an event ticketing business?

domain.pay says customers with pre-orders over $8,888 may qualify for VIP handling, dedicated support and more tailored failed-registration solutions. Review the current VIP language on the pricing page: https://domain.pay/pricing. Large portfolios should still expect availability and premium checks.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
