Frequently asked questions about statoil.dot

For point-of-sale payments, what does 'approved Payment Service Provider' mean for .PAY eligibility?

During LRP1, .PAY eligibility is limited to registrants that conduct payment transactions online using an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor, with payment-related use. For registration help, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Separate financial licensing depends on your activity and jurisdiction.

How do I avoid duplicate content between statoil.dot and my .com?

Serve real content on only one of them and 301-redirect the other, or use cross-domain canonical tags pointing to the version you want indexed. Without this, statoil.dot and the .com can split ranking signals. Pick the canonical host for statoil.dot and enforce it site-wide.

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for point-of-sale payments?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

How should robots.txt be configured for statoil.dot?

Place a robots.txt at the root of statoil.dot that allows crawling of public pages, disallows admin or duplicate paths, and points to your sitemap. Be careful not to accidentally block all of statoil.dot with a stray Disallow: /. Test the file in Search Console after deploying.

Where can I see the exact .PAY premium price for link.pay for loan repayments?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
