Frequently asked questions about staging.dot

Are IDN .PAY domains allowed for a mobile wallet team?

IDN .PAY names may be possible only in supported scripts and must meet registry rules. Use domain.pay to check the exact label and punycode-style status before planning a launch: https://domain.pay/register. Availability, premium and policy restrictions still apply.

How does VIP priority handling work for staging.dot?

VIP priority handling places your staging.dot request ahead in our processing queue so it is submitted to the registry as quickly as possible at the drop or general availability. It does not guarantee allocation, since the registry makes the final assignment for staging.dot. Learn more at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Is .PAY Sunrise first-come, first-served for trademark holders for payroll disbursements?

.PAY Sunrise is a Start-Date Sunrise, so eligible trademark registrations are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis when policy requirements are met. Start the request at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Waiting can increase the risk that another eligible party gets the matching label first.

Will browsing the catalog reveal options I'd miss searching only staging.dot?

Yes. Browsing domain.pay's curated catalog reveals options you would miss by searching only staging.dot, since it surfaces themed and adjacent payment names beyond staging.dot. Open-ended browsing complements targeted search. Browse the catalog at https://domain.pay/domains.

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later for digital wallets?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
