Frequently asked questions about softcell.dot

Can .PAY be used for a branded checkout URL for point-of-sale payments?

merchant.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Why choose softcell.dot for a one-time campaign or event?

For a one-time sale, fundraiser, or event, softcell.dot gives you a clean, memorable address to collect payments for softcell.dot without reworking your main site. You can spin it up and redirect it fast. Grab softcell.dot for the campaign at /register.

Why are payment brands talking about .PAY right now for a travel booking brand?

For online checkout, .PAY can be a strong payment-specific brand signal. It does not replace compliance, security or a trusted checkout flow, but it can make the URL purpose obvious. Start with an availability check on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. Re-check the name before publishing campaigns because registry status can change.

Where do I start a priority pre-order for softcell.dot?

You can start a priority pre-order for softcell.dot from its registration page, where you add VIP handling and, if eligible, supply a TMCH SMD file for the trademark phase. The applicable $100 standard or premium softcell.dot fee is shown before you confirm softcell.dot. Begin at https://domain.pay/register.

Can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else for digital wallets?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
