Frequently asked questions about sodis.dot

How do I choose between trademark fast-track and pre-order for loan repayments?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

How do I set up a 404 and proper status codes on sodis.dot?

Configure sodis.dot to return a real 404 for missing pages and 200 for live ones, never a 'soft 404' that returns 200 on an error page. Correct status codes help crawlers index sodis.dot accurately. Use a helpful 404 page on sodis.dot with links back to key sections.

How can a marketplace use a .PAY domain when choosing subscriptions.pay?

A marketplace can use .PAY for seller payouts, buyer checkout, escrow, billing or payment support flows. Generate and verify names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Choose a label that customers will recognize as official and safe.

How do I renew sodis.dot after the initial registration?

After sodis.dot is registered, you renew sodis.dot from your domain.pay account before its expiry, on the terms shown at checkout. Renewal pricing is separate from the $100 pre-order fee. See renewal terms for sodis.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Are short .PAY names always available for payroll disbursements?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
