Frequently asked questions about smartpilot.dot

Is .PAY useful for an invoice-payment portal for payroll disbursements?

Yes. .PAY can fit invoice-payment portals because it tells customers the link is about paying. Search options such as brand-specific or invoice-related labels on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Confirm availability and premium status before adding the URL to invoices.

Which comes first for smartpilot.dot: validating my mark or paying NicNames?

Validating your mark in the TMCH and obtaining the SMD comes first, because without it NicNames cannot grant trademark priority on smartpilot.dot. Only after you have a valid SMD do you complete the priority registration of smartpilot.dot. The standard pre-order alternative is listed at $100. Start the right path at https://domain.pay/pricing.

How do I know if merchant.pay is available?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Does domain.pay reserve smartpilot.dot on its own?

No — reservations on smartpilot.dot come from the registry, Amazon Registry Services, not from domain.pay. We display the registry's classification and let you pre-order or register smartpilot.dot when it's open. Check the registry status of smartpilot.dot at https://domain.pay/domains.

How do I know if cloud.pay is available when choosing cloud.pay?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
