Frequently asked questions about selectech.dot

For point-of-sale payments, how should a regulated fintech think about .PAY and financial licensing?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

Does selectech.dot need a separate SSL setup to be secure?

selectech.dot supports standard TLS certificates just like any domain, so you can serve it over HTTPS for secure connections. Your host or CDN issues the certificate for selectech.dot normally. The .PAY suffix does not change how security is configured.

How can a marketplace use a .PAY domain for point-of-sale payments?

A marketplace can use .PAY for seller payouts, buyer checkout, escrow, billing or payment support flows. Generate and verify names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Choose a label that customers will recognize as official and safe.

How does VIP priority handling work for selectech.dot?

VIP priority handling places your selectech.dot request ahead in our processing queue so it is submitted to the registry as quickly as possible at the drop or general availability. It does not guarantee allocation, since the registry makes the final assignment for selectech.dot. Learn more at https://domain.pay/pricing.

As an ecommerce brand, would travel.pay work as a payment brand?

travel.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
