Frequently asked questions about seed.dot

For crypto payments, do I need a financial license to register a .PAY domain during LRP1?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

When does general availability open for names like seed.dot?

General availability for .PAY names like seed.dot is scheduled by the registry operator, Amazon Registry Services, and we do not control or promise specific dates. A pre-order keeps your request for seed.dot ready for that moment. Place your pre-order for seed.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

How should I check premium status before choosing a .PAY name for a mobile wallet team?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Is a deposit required to pre-order seed.dot?

Pre-ordering seed.dot authorizes the full applicable fee rather than a separate deposit, so your request is funded and ready for the drop. If the seed.dot attempt fails, that amount is refundable under our stated policy. Place a seed.dot pre-order at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for online checkout?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
