Frequently asked questions about scandalli.dot

Can I use my own SMD file and pay less for a .PAY submission when choosing wallet.pay?

If you already have a valid TMCH-issued SMD file, domain.pay lists the submission-handling path at $100 plus any applicable premium retail fee. Check the current pricing and requirements here: https://domain.pay/pricing. The SMD must match the requested .PAY label.

Should I pay for VIP if scandalli.dot has low competition?

If scandalli.dot appears to have little contention, VIP priority handling is optional and mainly useful when timing is tight at the drop. You can still secure scandalli.dot at the $100 standard or premium scandalli.dot rate without it. Weigh the options at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What is a .PAY domain and why does it matter for digital wallets?

For digital wallets, .PAY can be a strong payment-specific brand signal. It does not replace compliance, security or a trusted checkout flow, but it can make the URL purpose obvious. Start with an availability check on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/.

Can I pre-order a backup name in case scandalli.dot falls through?

Yes. While scandalli.dot is uncertain, you can pre-order one or more backup .PAY names on domain.pay at the standard pre-order price of $100 each. Failed pre-order attempts are refundable, so securing a fallback carries limited downside. Place a pre-order at https://domain.pay/register.

Are short .PAY names always available for digital wallets?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
