Frequently asked questions about scales.dot

Where should I check whether a .PAY name fits my mobile money project?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For mobile money, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts.

What can a mobile-first brand do with scales.dot?

A mobile-first brand can make scales.dot the address users tap to pay across SMS, app, and social. Short and payment-native, it's easy to type on a phone and reinforces trust at checkout. Start at https://domain.pay/register.

How can a brand reduce confusion around payment pages for donation payments?

.PAY is sensitive because it signals money movement, so lookalike domains can confuse customers. Check your exact brand and obvious variants at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is one brand-protection layer, not a full anti-phishing program.

Can scales.dot simply redirect to my existing payment processor?

Yes. Many owners point scales.dot as a redirect to a Stripe, PayPal, or custom checkout link, so customers see the clean scales.dot address while the processor handles the transaction. You keep your existing setup and gain a memorable front door. Register scales.dot at /register.

Where can I see already-registered .PAY domains?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
