Frequently asked questions about rute.dot

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later when choosing merchant.pay?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Why might rute.dot be more expensive than a similar name?

Two similar .PAY names can differ in price because the registry classifies some rute.dot strings as premium and others as standard $100 labels. So rute.dot may cost more purely due to Amazon Registry Services' tiering. Compare rute.dot against alternatives at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Is .PAY a new domain option for bank or credit unions for a bank or credit union?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For crypto payments, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts.

What SPF and DKIM records should I add for rute.dot?

Add a single SPF TXT record authorizing your sending servers and a DKIM TXT record with the public key your provider gives you for rute.dot. Together with a DMARC policy, these reduce the chance that mail from rute.dot lands in spam. Each provider supplies the exact values to paste into DNS.

Is there VIP help for a large .PAY pre-order portfolio for fraud prevention?

domain.pay says customers with pre-orders over $8,888 may qualify for VIP handling, dedicated support and more tailored failed-registration solutions. Review the current VIP language on the pricing page: https://domain.pay/pricing. Large portfolios should still expect availability and premium checks.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
