Frequently asked questions about roadmate.dot

For crypto payments, how should a regulated fintech think about .PAY and financial licensing?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

Are app stores bypass payments a use for roadmate.dot?

For web purchases that sidestep app-store fees, roadmate.dot gives users a clean, trusted address to pay directly. The .PAY name reassures customers buying outside the app. Reserve it at https://domain.pay/register.

For mobile money, would travel.pay work as a payment brand?

travel.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Can roadmate.dot support multiple payment methods?

Yes. roadmate.dot is just the address, so wherever it points can offer cards, wallets, or bank transfers for roadmate.dot. The domain does not limit which methods your processor accepts. You stay free to support any payment options behind roadmate.dot.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium for a checkout product manager?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
