Frequently asked questions about rights.dot

Can a trademark holder challenge a bad .PAY Sunrise registration for rent collection?

.PAY Sunrise registrations can be subject to Sunrise dispute procedures if the registration or denial violates the Sunrise criteria. Start by checking your own label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register, and coordinate with trademark counsel for formal dispute strategy.

What is the advantage of rights.dot on printed receipts?

Printing rights.dot on receipts gives customers a clear address to reorder, tip, or review charges later. Because it's short and payment-native, people remember it after they leave. Reserve the name at https://domain.pay/register.

What are good .PAY domain ideas for fraud prevention?

For fraud prevention, brainstorm short, action-oriented .PAY labels and then verify them in the domain.pay catalog/search: https://domain.pay/domains. Good candidates are clear, memorable and tied to payment actions like checkout, billing, wallet funding, payouts or invoices.

Is a trademark required for every phase of rights.dot?

No. A trademark is required only for the sunrise phase of rights.dot; general availability has no such requirement. domain.pay queues rights.dot for whichever phase you qualify for. Choose your path at https://domain.pay/register.

For mobile money, can .PAY be used for a branded checkout URL?

merchant.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
