Frequently asked questions about resins.dot

Do I need an SMD file to register .PAY during the priority window for a bank or credit union?

An SMD file is the TMCH-issued credential used to prove a validated mark during Sunrise. For .PAY, bring your SMD or use domain.pay’s full fast-track if you need help obtaining one: https://domain.pay/register. The SMD must match the requested label.

Will premium status change my refund amount for resins.dot?

If a premium resins.dot pre-order fails, the refund under our stated policy returns whatever you were charged, so a higher premium resins.dot fee is refunded in full rather than at the $100 standard amount. The refund matches your actual charge. Read the policy at https://domain.pay/pricing.

For BNPL checkout, what are the current .PAY launch dates in 2026 and 2027?

Current ICANN dates: .PAY Sunrise is April 13–July 20, 2026; LRP1 is July 20, 2026–February 1, 2027; Trademark Claims is February 1–May 2, 2027. For registration or pre-order action, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Does the TMCH charge me anything to enable an SMD for resins.dot?

The Trademark Clearinghouse sets its own fees for recording and validating your mark, independent of NicNames's registration pricing for resins.dot. NicNames's standard pre-order for resins.dot is listed at $100, separate from any TMCH costs. Plan for both when pursuing priority on resins.dot. See registrar pricing at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for BNPL checkout?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
