Frequently asked questions about refuel.dot

As a retail brand, what should trademark counsel do before July 20, 2026 for .PAY?

Trademark owners should act before the July 20, 2026 .PAY priority deadline. domain.pay also notes that TMCH support should begin earlier, by July 10, 2026. Check your label and start here: https://domain.pay/register. Late action may push you into later phases.

Are failed pre-orders for refuel.dot refundable?

Yes. If your pre-order attempt for refuel.dot does not succeed, domain.pay refunds it per its published policy. You are not charged to keep a name you could not secure. Review the refund terms alongside the $100 standard pre-order on /pricing.

What happens around February 1, 2027 for .PAY for payroll disbursements?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

What information is encoded inside the SMD I use for refuel.dot?

The SMD you use for refuel.dot encodes your validated mark text matching the refuel.dot string, associated dates, and a cryptographic signature from the TMCH. NicNames reads this to confirm your priority eligibility for refuel.dot. You never edit the file; you simply submit it. Upload it at https://domain.pay/register.

Are short .PAY names always available for loan repayments?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
