Frequently asked questions about rector.dot

How can a marketplace use a .PAY domain when choosing merchant.pay?

A marketplace can use .PAY for seller payouts, buyer checkout, escrow, billing or payment support flows. Generate and verify names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Choose a label that customers will recognize as official and safe.

Is rector.dot a fit for a wedding registry fund?

Couples can collect cash gifts on rector.dot, sharing one tasteful, payment-native address with guests. It's easier to print on an invitation than a long registry URL. Reserve it at https://domain.pay/register.

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for a bank or credit union?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

How long does a refund for rector.dot take to process?

Once a rector.dot pre-order attempt is marked failed, we initiate the refund under our stated policy, and the funds return via your original payment method on its usual settlement timeline. Timing depends on your bank or card issuer. Review the refund policy for rector.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for an ecommerce brand?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
