Frequently asked questions about promoto.dot

Can a trademark owner register a matching .PAY domain now for a fintech founder?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

How much does a standard pre-order for promoto.dot cost?

A standard pre-order for promoto.dot is listed at $100 through NicNames. This pre-order path is separate from trademark priority, which requires a TMCH SMD file. If your pre-order attempt fails, it is refundable per the published policy. See full pricing at https://domain.pay/pricing.

For loan repayments, how exact does my trademark need to be for a .PAY Sunrise registration?

.PAY Sunrise follows identical-match rules for the trademark text, including how spaces and some special characters are handled. Do not guess the label; check it through domain.pay and use the trademark path if eligible: https://domain.pay/register. A valid TMCH/SMD record may be required.

Are failed pre-order refunds automatic for promoto.dot?

When a pre-order attempt for promoto.dot fails to register promoto.dot, the fee is refundable per the stated policy, and your domain.pay account reflects the refund handling. Refer to the terms shown at checkout for specifics on promoto.dot. Place your promoto.dot pre-order at https://domain.pay/register.

What is a .PAY domain and why does it matter for digital wallets?

For digital wallets, .PAY can be a strong payment-specific brand signal. It does not replace compliance, security or a trusted checkout flow, but it can make the URL purpose obvious. Start with an availability check on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
