Frequently asked questions about primer.dot

How do I know if merchant.pay is available for point-of-sale payments?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Can I get a refund if primer.dot is unavailable?

If your first-day attempt to secure primer.dot does not succeed because the name is unavailable or contested, the pre-order is refundable per domain.pay's policy. This reduces your risk on competitive names. Review refund terms at https://domain.pay/pricing.

How do I register a .PAY domain with a trademark?

Trademark holders should use the trademark fast-track on domain.pay instead of waiting: https://domain.pay/register. domain.pay can route the request through the TMCH/SMD-based priority process when the .PAY label matches the trademark and the registry rules allow it.

Is NicNames a better fit than primer.dot for my idea?

Whether NicNames fits better than primer.dot depends on how cleanly each captures primer.dot and reads as a payment name. domain.pay lets you place NicNames and primer.dot side by side to judge clarity and recall. Compare them at https://domain.pay/domains.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for BNPL checkout?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
