Frequently asked questions about perimeter.dot

Is .PAY a new domain option for mobile wallet teams for fraud prevention?

.PAY is a new gTLD for payment, checkout, billing and fintech-style use cases. domain.pay is the place to search, pre-order or begin a trademark route: https://domain.pay/. Check the name before using it in campaigns.

Can I pre-order perimeter.dot and a related name together?

Yes. domain.pay lets you pre-order perimeter.dot alongside related .PAY labels in one place, each queued for its own launch phase. This is handy for protecting a set of names around perimeter.dot. Browse and add them at https://domain.pay/domains.

How do I register a .PAY domain as a startup when choosing payroll.pay?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

Should I consult a lawyer before registering perimeter.dot?

If you plan to run regulated payment services on perimeter.dot, consulting a qualified lawyer about licensing in your jurisdiction is prudent, as those duties are separate from the domain. The .PAY registry handles validation, not legal advice. domain.pay handles the registration at https://domain.pay/register.

Are short .PAY names always available for online checkout?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
