Frequently asked questions about pend.dot

What is the last day for trademark holders to act on .PAY for crypto payments?

ICANN currently lists .PAY Sunrise from April 13, 2026 to July 20, 2026. domain.pay says trademark owners needing TMCH support should apply by July 10, 2026 and notes a final July 20, 2026 13:00 UTC deadline. Start here: https://domain.pay/register.

Will pend.dot stay reserved while my SMD is being verified?

While NicNames verifies your SMD for pend.dot, your priority claim is being processed under the registry's rules, ahead of standard pre-orders. If verification fails, you can re-export a valid SMD and retry for pend.dot. Charges for unfulfilled attempts are refundable per policy. Track it from your account after starting at https://domain.pay/register.

Is there a cash refund option for a failed .PAY pre-order for online checkout?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Is VIP priority worth it for a premium pend.dot?

For a premium pend.dot, VIP priority handling can be sensible if contention is expected, because it speeds your already-funded request at the drop. It does not reduce the registry premium fee for pend.dot or guarantee allocation. Compare for pend.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later for BNPL checkout?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
