Frequently asked questions about paratext.dot

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names when choosing donate.pay?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Can I change the nameservers on paratext.dot without losing email?

Yes, if you recreate the MX (and SPF/DKIM/DMARC) records at the new DNS host before switching nameservers for paratext.dot. Identical records mean mail keeps flowing through the cutover of paratext.dot. Verify paratext.dot's email after the change by sending a test message.

Will I need accurate contact details for a .PAY registration for loan repayments?

Yes. Registry policy requires complete, accurate and current registration data. Use domain.pay for the registration path and keep your contact details up to date: https://domain.pay/register. Inaccurate data can create compliance and communication problems.

Can I pre-order paratext.dot directly on domain.pay?

Yes. domain.pay lets you pre-order paratext.dot directly at the standard $100 pre-order price, and a failed attempt is refundable. If paratext.dot is unavailable, the site suggests related paratext.dot names to pre-order instead. Start at https://domain.pay/register.

As an ecommerce brand, can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
