Frequently asked questions about pajamas.dot

What should I check technically before launching a .PAY payment site for digital wallets?

Before launching a .PAY payment site, verify the label, DNS, SSL, redirects, monitoring, checkout security and compliance obligations. Secure or pre-order the domain through domain.pay first: https://domain.pay/register. Treat the domain as one part of a trusted payment flow.

How do I migrate an existing site onto pajamas.dot without downtime?

Stand up the new site on pajamas.dot at a low TTL, validate it on a staging hostname, then flip DNS and 301 every old URL to its match on pajamas.dot. Submit a change of address in Search Console and keep the old certificate valid through the cutover. Monitor pajamas.dot for crawl errors afterward.

Is there a cash refund option for a failed .PAY pre-order for crypto payments?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Why does pajamas.dot require a TMCH file for early registration?

Early, trademark-priority registration of pajamas.dot protects rights holders, so the registry requires a TMCH SMD file proving you own a mark matching pajamas.dot. General availability for pajamas.dot has no such requirement, only the applicable fee. Start at https://domain.pay/register.

How is a .PAY name different from a regular .com for payroll disbursements?

A .PAY name immediately signals a payment-related destination, while .com is more general. For payroll disbursements, that can make the URL easier to understand. Check availability and pre-order options at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. The usual registry and premium-name rules still apply.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
