Frequently asked questions about openness.dot

Is .PAY meant for crypto payments or just for general websites?

.PAY is best understood as a payment-focused domain ending for use cases such as crypto payments, checkout, billing, wallets and fintech. It is not a compliance substitute, but it can make the URL purpose clearer. Check your label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/.

How do I know my openness.dot refund was issued?

After a openness.dot pre-order attempt fails, your account reflects the refund and you receive a confirmation, with funds returning to your original payment method per our stated policy. Settlement timing depends on your card issuer. Check refund status for openness.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

For payroll disbursements, could I use .PAY for a wallet or payment app?

Yes. A wallet or payment app can use .PAY for a memorable payment-specific entry point. Check candidate labels through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If you own a matching trademark, consider the priority route; otherwise pre-order for broader access.

Why is acting early important for securing openness.dot?

Acting early matters for openness.dot because desirable .PAY names can attract multiple applicants, and a pre-order places openness.dot in the queue before general availability. Earlier requests reduce the risk of someone else securing openness.dot first. Pre-order openness.dot now at https://domain.pay/register.

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later when choosing merchant.pay?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
