Frequently asked questions about observations.dot

How do I register a .PAY domain right now for point-of-sale payments?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

Will my pre-order for observations.dot convert to a registration if no one claims priority?

If no validated SMD holder claims observations.dot during the priority phase, your standard pre-order at $100 is positioned to proceed toward registration under NicNames's process. Should it still fail to complete, the charge is refundable per policy. Trademark priority simply never displaces an unclaimed observations.dot. Place your pre-order at https://domain.pay/pricing.

How much does it cost to pre-order a .PAY domain for a donation platform?

domain.pay lists standard .PAY pre-order service at $100 for a first-day attempt, with separate premium fees if the registry classifies the label as premium. See the current pricing here: https://domain.pay/pricing. Failed attempts are covered by the stated credit/cash-refund options.

Can I pre-order observations.dot before .PAY launches?

Yes — domain.pay offers a first-day pre-order so you can queue observations.dot ahead of general availability. The standard pre-order is $100 and, per policy, failed attempts are refundable. Place your pre-order for observations.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

For mobile money, can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
