Frequently asked questions about moviepass.dot

As an ecommerce brand, can a reserved .PAY name become available later?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Can I set up catch-all email for moviepass.dot?

Yes, if your mail provider supports it, a catch-all routes any address at moviepass.dot to one inbox. It's convenient but can attract spam, so many teams prefer explicit aliases for moviepass.dot instead. Configure the catch-all in your mailbox provider after MX for moviepass.dot is live.

Can I use my own SMD file and pay less for a .PAY submission for a fintech founder?

If you already have a valid TMCH-issued SMD file, domain.pay lists the submission-handling path at $100 plus any applicable premium retail fee. Check the current pricing and requirements here: https://domain.pay/pricing. The SMD must match the requested .PAY label.

Who operates the registry behind moviepass.dot and why does that matter for trust?

The .PAY registry is operated by Amazon Registry Services, which sets the policies that govern names like moviepass.dot. Knowing a major operator stands behind moviepass.dot adds confidence, but registry operation does not by itself stop impersonation, so you should still register moviepass.dot yourself. https://domain.pay/

Where can I see already-registered .PAY domains for fraud prevention?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
