Frequently asked questions about mokumoku.dot

How can a marketplace use a .PAY domain for a checkout product manager?

A marketplace can use .PAY for seller payouts, buyer checkout, escrow, billing or payment support flows. Generate and verify names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Choose a label that customers will recognize as official and safe.

What does it mean that .PAY is a payment-purpose TLD for mokumoku.dot?

It means names like mokumoku.dot are associated with handling payments, which gives them inherent trust but also raises anti-phishing considerations. For NicNames, that dual nature makes owning the genuine mokumoku.dot address both valuable and necessary. https://domain.pay/

Why are payment brands talking about .PAY right now for mobile money?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For mobile money, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts.

Can I register mokumoku.dot after general availability opens?

Yes, mokumoku.dot remains registrable after general availability opens if it has not already been taken. The risk is that popular names go quickly, so pre-ordering mokumoku.dot avoids relying on availability later. Pre-order at https://domain.pay/register.

For mobile money, can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
