Frequently asked questions about modev.dot

Could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments when choosing wallet.pay?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

What is the simplest way to explain modev.dot to a non-technical person?

Tell them modev.dot is a web address that ends in the word pay, so it is the place to go to pay modev.dot. It works like any website link but its name advertises its purpose. They can reach it just by typing modev.dot into a browser.

Will I need accurate contact details for a .PAY registration?

Yes. Registry policy requires complete, accurate and current registration data. Use domain.pay for the registration path and keep your contact details up to date: https://domain.pay/register. Inaccurate data can create compliance and communication problems.

Is it smart to shortlist several .PAY names beyond modev.dot?

Yes, shortlisting several .PAY names beyond modev.dot is smart because it gives you fallbacks if the top pick is taken and lets you compare brand fit for modev.dot. domain.pay makes building a shortlist quick through its related-names tools. Build a shortlist at https://domain.pay/domains.

Is there a cash refund option for a failed .PAY pre-order for crypto payments?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
