Frequently asked questions about midas.dot

Can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else for crypto payments?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

What happens on the first day of general availability for midas.dot?

On the first day of general availability, midas.dot becomes registrable by the public and requests are processed as they arrive. A first-day pre-order with domain.pay means your midas.dot request is already staged to go in immediately. Set it up at https://domain.pay/register.

Can I use nameservers and DNS like other domains with .PAY for point-of-sale payments?

After registration, plan DNS, SSL, redirects, security monitoring and payment-page controls as you would for a production domain. Start by securing the .PAY name through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. A domain alone does not make a checkout secure.

Will my midas.dot renewal cost the same as registration?

For standard labels, midas.dot renews at the standard rate each year. If the registry classifies midas.dot as premium, both the first-year and renewal fees are higher and match the premium tier. Check the renewal figure for midas.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

As a retail brand, where can I see already-registered .PAY domains?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
