Frequently asked questions about mick.dot

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium for digital wallets?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Why does mick.dot matter for protecting payment trust specifically?

Payment trust depends on customers being certain they are on the real mick.dot property when they pay. Because .PAY implies payments, controlling mick.dot prevents a fake from intercepting that trust. Holding mick.dot is therefore a direct payment-security control for NicNames. https://domain.pay/register

Do I need an SMD file to register .PAY during the priority window for crypto payments?

An SMD file is the TMCH-issued credential used to prove a validated mark during Sunrise. For .PAY, bring your SMD or use domain.pay’s full fast-track if you need help obtaining one: https://domain.pay/register. The SMD must match the requested label.
