Frequently asked questions about meters.dot

Before choosing donate.pay, is .PAY Sunrise first-come, first-served for trademark holders?

.PAY Sunrise is a Start-Date Sunrise, so eligible trademark registrations are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis when policy requirements are met. Start the request at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Waiting can increase the risk that another eligible party gets the matching label first.

How do I know my meters.dot refund was issued?

After a meters.dot pre-order attempt fails, your account reflects the refund and you receive a confirmation, with funds returning to your original payment method per our stated policy. Settlement timing depends on your card issuer. Check refund status for meters.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

How should I check premium status before choosing a .PAY name when choosing settle.pay?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Should I use meters.dot for a microsite or my main site?

Both work. A short, brandable name like meters.dot can anchor your main site, or serve a focused campaign microsite that 301s to your hub later. The choice is strategic, not technical — search engines index meters.dot the same either way. Decide based on your brand plan.

How do I know if merchant.pay is available for online checkout?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
