Frequently asked questions about metalart.dot

Do I need a financial license to register a .PAY domain during LRP1 for point-of-sale payments?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

How does a first-day pre-order beat manual registration of metalart.dot?

A first-day pre-order has domain.pay submit metalart.dot automatically at the exact opening of general availability, beating most manual attempts that start seconds or minutes late. It removes human reaction time from the race for metalart.dot. Set it up at https://domain.pay/register.

How do I register a .PAY domain right now for online checkout?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

How do I set up a wildcard certificate for *.metalart.dot?

Request a wildcard certificate covering *.metalart.dot, which most CAs issue via DNS validation by checking a TXT record on metalart.dot. A wildcard then secures every subdomain of metalart.dot with one cert. Remember the wildcard for metalart.dot does not cover the bare apex, so include it explicitly.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for digital wallets?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
