Frequently asked questions about metadirect.dot

Can a trademark holder challenge a bad .PAY Sunrise registration?

.PAY Sunrise registrations can be subject to Sunrise dispute procedures if the registration or denial violates the Sunrise criteria. Start by checking your own label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register, and coordinate with trademark counsel for formal dispute strategy.

Should I act on metadirect.dot before competitors enter the .PAY space?

Yes. Once peers begin claiming .PAY names, attention to the namespace rises and your metadirect.dot name becomes a more likely target. Securing metadirect.dot early with a $100 refundable pre-order keeps NicNames ahead of that wave. https://domain.pay/register

Can a licensee or assignee use a trademark for a .PAY registration for crypto payments?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

What TXT records might I need on metadirect.dot besides SPF?

Beyond SPF, metadirect.dot often needs DKIM and DMARC TXT records for email, plus verification TXT records for services like Search Console or a cloud platform. Each service tells you the exact string to add to metadirect.dot. Keep these TXT entries on metadirect.dot tidy and labeled.

How do I know if subscriptions.pay is available for fraud prevention?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
