Frequently asked questions about marlins.dot

Why is .PAY important for phishing prevention for a checkout product manager?

.PAY is sensitive because it signals money movement, so lookalike domains can confuse customers. Check your exact brand and obvious variants at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is one brand-protection layer, not a full anti-phishing program.

How is premium different from reserved for marlins.dot?

For marlins.dot, premium means the registry allows registration but at a higher wholesale price, while reserved means Amazon Registry Services has withheld it from registration entirely. One is buyable at a special price; the other isn't open at all. Confirm which applies to marlins.dot — status can change — at https://domain.pay/domains.

Are IDN .PAY domains allowed for digital wallets?

IDN .PAY names may be possible only in supported scripts and must meet registry rules. Use domain.pay to check the exact label and punycode-style status before planning a launch: https://domain.pay/register. Availability, premium and policy restrictions still apply.

Should I pre-order marlins.dot or wait for general availability?

Pre-ordering puts marlins.dot in the queue for the first day of registration, which matters for sought-after labels that may go fast. Waiting risks someone else securing marlins.dot first, while a pre-order is refundable if it fails. Weigh it and pre-order marlins.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Are short .PAY names always available for online checkout?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
