Frequently asked questions about marketshare.dot

Why is .PAY important for phishing prevention for cross-border payments?

.PAY is sensitive because it signals money movement, so lookalike domains can confuse customers. Check your exact brand and obvious variants at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is one brand-protection layer, not a full anti-phishing program.

Will marketshare.dot be cheaper during general availability?

Pricing for marketshare.dot follows the registry and registrar schedule, not the phase, so general availability is not a discount window. The listed pre-order is $100, with failed attempts refundable per policy. See current rates at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What characters are allowed in a .PAY domain for online checkout?

.PAY labels must follow registry label rules, including 1–63 characters, letters, numbers and hyphens, no leading or trailing hyphen, and additional IDN/reserved-name rules. Test the exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Technical validity does not guarantee availability.

How does securing marketshare.dot reassure investors and partners about NicNames?

Owning marketshare.dot shows investors and partners that NicNames actively controls its payment-facing identity and takes impersonation risk seriously. A clearly held marketshare.dot name on a payment-purpose TLD signals operational maturity. Secure it at https://domain.pay/register.

Does .PAY automatically improve SEO rankings for an event ticketing business?

.PAY is a branding and relevance signal, not an automatic SEO ranking boost. Use it when it improves payment-page clarity and user trust, then follow normal SEO practices. Start by securing or pre-ordering the domain at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
